One UI 8.0 brings significant improvements to key features of the Galaxy S25 series, enhancing the user experience with advanced camera and AI capabilities.

The main changes include:

  • Support Log Video Recording on the front camera: The ability to record video in log format, which allows for greater dynamic range and flexibility in post-production, was previously only available for rear cameras. With One UI 8.0, Samsung is enabling this feature for the front camera as well, in both normal and professional video modes
  • Upgrading Now Brief with audio reading (Listen Brief): Now Brief, the feature that provides concise information with artificial intelligence (such as weather, calendar events, news, etc.), gains the ability to read its contents audibly through the new "Listen Brief" feature.

Other improvements in One UI 8.0

  • Quick Share: A "Receive" tab is added, allowing the user to make their device visible for transferring files from other devices for as long as they wish.
  • Gallery App: Updated menu with circular buttons and new colour options for upholstery.
  • Galaxy Buds Coupling: Simplifies the pairing process without the need to use the Galaxy Wearable app.

The stable version of One UI 8.0, based on Android 16, is expected to be released in the summer of 2025, between June and September. The beta version for the Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in late May or early June.
