Samsung is preparing to launch the beta version of One UI 8.0, based on Android 16, earlier than ever before, with the release expected in the third week of May 2025.

The beta will start with the Galaxy S25 series, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra version already spotted on test servers.
Initially, the beta will be available in selected markets, including South Korea, with wider availability in Europe and the US expected in June.

One UI 8.0 brings improvements such as:
- Advanced Samsung DeX system.
- New look of the app drawer with a more compact design.
- AI Video Summary for intelligent video summary.
- Improved transitions and animations for a smoother user experience.
The stable version of One UI 8.0 is expected to be released in the second half of 2025, probably after the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7.
