Samsung has started internal testing for One UI 8, based on Android 16, two months earlier than usual.
The first test version for the Galaxy S25 series was spotted on the company's servers, with version number S938BXXU1BYC1.
This early test launch may suggest that Samsung is looking to speed up the development of One UI 8, possibly to address the delays seen with One UI 7, which is based on Android 15 and is expected to be released next month.

Google plans to release Android 16 in June, and early testing by Samsung may lead to a faster rollout of One UI 8 to users, possibly by the end of the year.
However, there are no official announcements regarding the exact release date.
In addition, Android 16 is expected to bring improvements to external display management, and Samsung will likely incorporate these features into One UI 8.
