Samsung Galaxy A36: With Snapdragon processor and IP67 durability certification

Samsung recently announced the Galaxy A36 5G, an affordable smartphone with impressive features.

The A36 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz, offering vivid colours and a smooth user experience.

At its heart is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, accompanied by 6GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, with no microSD expansion.

The camera system includes:

  • 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS and PDAF
  • 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture
  • 5MP Macro camera with f/2.4 aperture

The front camera is 12MP, ideal for selfies and video calls.

The device is IP67 certified, making it dust and water resistant (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back.

The 5,000mAh battery supports 45W fast charging, ensuring long usage time. The Galaxy A36 5G will receive six operating system upgrades and six years of security updates, extending the lifespan of the device.

The Galaxy A36 5G is priced from $400/€380 for the 128GB storage and 6GB RAM version, while the 256GB storage and 8GB RAM version costs €450/£400.

The device will be available in various colours including black, lime, white and lavender, with most of them featuring an iridescent finish.

The Galaxy A36 5G is expected to be launched in late March 2025.
