Presented on 23 June the iOS 26 Developer Beta 2, with lots of improvements and hot hints for the next iPhone 17 Air.

Let's look at them in detail:
- Liquid Glass & Control Center: Enhanced opacity in the Control Center for better readability.
- In addition, the "Reduce Transparency" toggle now further reduces transparency.
- Safari: The "+" button for new tabs is back at the bottom left, a bunch of navigation options now clear.
- app store: New "Accessibility" section where developers declare accessibility features.
- Wallet: Siri & Mail order tracking feature now active.
- Ringtone: New sound "Reflection Alt 1" available in Settings.
- Apple Music widget: New Widget for Live Radio on the home screen.
- low power mode: Description for reduced performance, screen refresh rate, background syncing & 5G now clearer.
- live captions: Rename Transcribe Calls option to "Save Call Transcripts" & sound notification before the translation starts.
- Visual Intelligence & Recovery Assistant: Improved screenshots handling and added serious problem management feature (bug fixes, boot issues).

In beta, a "clownfish" wallpaper with resolution 420×912 points @3× → 1260 × 2736 pixels, which:
- Matches resolutions between iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max,
- Confirms rumours about screen 6.6″ and slimmer body, with a thickness of approximately 5 mm and use C1 modem.
This appears as a first official indication for the iPhone 17 Air, currently in development, which may replace the classic Plus series.
Timeline

Beta 2 mainly brings UI/UX improvements, elegant fixes and small functional additions-not big new features. However, the real interest lies in the information about iPhone 17 Air, confirming its existence, screen resolution, size and ultra-thin thickness.
