If your device was compatible with iOS 17, then it will be with iOS 18, according to Apple.

This means that all devices that received iOS 17, including 2018 models (such as the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max), will continue to receive support and upgrade to iOS 18.

However, iPhones released before 2017, such as iPhone 8 or older, will no longer be compatible with the latest iOS version.

However, these devices will still work, but without the option to upgrade to the latest version of the operating system.
