The first leaks for the new series Samsung Galaxy S26 reveal interesting details concerning the model Galaxy S26 Pro.

According to reports from reliable industry sources, the device will come with a slightly larger screen and improved battery, giving it a small but substantial upgrade over its predecessor, the Galaxy S25.

The Galaxy S26 Pro's screen is expected to reach the 6,27 inches, compared to the 6.2 inches of the Galaxy S25. This increase, while small in numbers, can make a difference in the everyday user experience, especially for those who watch videos, play games or take advantage of multitasking features. Samsung seems to be aiming for a more "comfortable" display without making the phone cumbersome or overly large.

Equally important is the battery upgrade. The information wants the Galaxy S26 Pro to incorporate a battery capacity of 4,300 mAh (standard value), an improvement over the 4,000 mAh of the previous model. At the same time, the rated capacity is calculated at 4.175 mAh.

This 300 mAh increase may not be impressive at first glance, but combined with more efficient hardware and improvements to the One UI software, it should provide more satisfying battery life.

Another interesting detail that accompanies the leaks is the strategic change in the name of the series. Samsung seems to be planning to leave behind the classic "base" and "Plus" models, and focus on the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Edge and S26 Ultra.

If this is confirmed, the Pro will essentially be the new "base" model, which shows the company's intention to diversify its range with a more premium orientation.

While the changes to the screen and battery aren't dramatic, they do show that Samsung is continuing to gradually evolve the Galaxy S series. A slightly larger screen and a more durable battery could significantly improve everyday use, especially when combined with the expected new Exynos or Snapdragon processor and the artificial intelligence capabilities that the new One UI will bring.

Of course, all of the above is based on leaks and not on official announcements. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series at an event Unpacked in January 2026, when we will have a full picture of the technical specifications, versions and prices. Until then, the rumors and leaked information keep the interest around the company's new flagship alive.
