Samsung remains dominant in the smartphone market, mainly due to the ongoing improvements in its products and the integration of Galaxy AI artificial intelligence in its devices. The continuous technological advancements and innovation in Galaxy devices provide users with an advanced experience, which strengthens Samsung's position in the market.

Samsung is focusing on upgrading the features and performance of its smartphones, such as improving cameras, boosting processing power and adding new features that take advantage of artificial intelligence. Galaxy AI, in particular, contributes significantly to the user experience by offering personalized suggestions, camera improvements, and optimizations to device performance.

Samsung and Apple's dominance in the premium segment is attributed to the artificial intelligence capabilities of Galaxy AI and Apple Intelligence. The latest Galaxy AI improvement with One UI 6.1.1 seems to be paying off for Samsung.

Xiaomi is in third place with a share of 15%, while Vivo and Transsion are in fourth and fifth place with 9% each.

Overall, smartphone sales increased by 12% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 288 million devices, marking the third consecutive increase in the smartphone market.

Earlier this month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, which are already in high demand due to the improvements they offer. As its foldable models gain popularity, Samsung is expected to further increase its market share in the third quarter of 2024. It remains to be seen if this prediction will be confirmed.
