One of the top features of iOS 12 that comes with AirPods is the Live Listen feature. It allows us to use the iPhone as a microphone when it's connected to the wireless headphones. This means we can use the Live Listen feature in noisy places to hear what someone we can't quite hear is trying to tell us.

This feature has been on iPhone since 2014. However, with AirPods support, the sound enters the iPhone and is amplified from there to reach the AirPods. As we can understand, this feature, can be very useful in many situations.

How do we add Live Listen to Control Center on iPhone?

First, you'll need to make sure the AirPods are connected to your iPhone, then place them in your ears. Then, open "Settings" on iPhone and go to "Control Center".

Click on "Customize controls" and after scrolling down select the "+" next to "Hearing".

We return to the home screen of our device and enter the "Control Center". Click on the Hearing icon we added earlier. Once the Live Listen panel appears, we will need to tap on it once to activate it.

Live Listen has been activated and as you will notice, you will be listening with extreme sensitivity to everything around you. All you have to do is move your iPhone closer to the sound you want to hear most strongly.

That's it!
