iOS 18.2 Beta 1: All the new features and changes

iOS 18.2 Beta 1, recently released for developers, brings a number of new features focused on improving the user experience through Apple Intelligence and other possibilities.

Here are the main new features:

Image Playground: Allows users to create interactive images, choosing between animations, illustrations or sketches. It is available in applications such as Messages and in a separate application.
Genmoji: New ability to create personalized emojis using artificial intelligence. Users can give a description, e.g. "monkey with pink hat" and a new emoji will be created.
Integration of ChatGPT: Siri can now connect to ChatGPT, allowing better responses and the use of writing tools for summaries or text editing.

Camera with Visual Intelligence: For iPhone 16 users, the system can identify objects and locations and provide information such as hours of operation or restaurant reviews when the camera is pointed at them.
New volume restrictions: In the "Sounds and tactile" settings, it is possible to set a maximum volume limit to protect hearing.
Extensions to Siri: Siri can now maintain the context of a conversation and adjust responses accordingly.
Ability to delete pre-installed applications: Users in the EU can delete apps such as the App Store, Safari, and Photos.

iOS 18.2 is expected to become available to the general public in late 2024.
