iOS 18.0.1 is released as an emergency update by Apple to address several issues identified in the base version of iOS 18.

These bugs include issues that cause the Messages app to crash when users open images that include Apple Watch watch faces. Also, serious touchscreen issues have been reported by users of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
In addition to these issues, Apple was forced to withdraw the iPadOS 18 update for iPad Pro with M4 processor, as this version was causing damage to the tablets. The release of iOS 18.0.1 is expected to address many of the issues reported by users and stabilize the devices.
