Apple presented the new versions of its operating systems for this year, in which several new features were added, which are quite useful. In this text, we will briefly introduce you to Apple's new operating systems, summarizing everything we saw at yesterday's keynote at the start of this year's WWDC.
iOS 12
As usual, the presentation could not miss the new iOS, iOS 12, which will be "worn" on iPhones and iPads. With iOS 12, apps will open 40% faster, the keyboard will appear 50% faster and the camera will launch 70% faster. Before yesterday's presentation, we knew Apple's intentions to focus on the performance and stability of its operating system, without adding many new features. However, some additions and changes, were made. Let's take a brief look at them:
- New Measure application for measuring surfaces and automatically locating the dimensions of objects.
- ARKit 2.0 with the ability to share our experiences, improved face detection and more.
- A major addition to Apple CarPlay, which will support third-party maps (Waze, Google Maps).
- Improvements were made to "Shares", Books (iBooks became Apple Books) and other applications.
- Improved "Do Not Disturb" feature for the evening hours, grouping of notifications and detailed tracking of the usage we do on iPhone - iPad.
- New Animoji characters, display of new Memoji to represent our face the way we want.
- iPhone X gestures on iPad. Now, swipe down from the top right side of the iPad screen to bring up Control Center.
- iPhone X can now accept a second face in Face ID.
- New auto-complete function for single-use security codes (4-digit, etc.) for greater security.
- New Wallpaper for iPhone and iPad.
- Major improvements to Siri.
- Option to enable/disable automatic iOS updates.
- USB Restricted Mode is now set to one hour instead of the seven days we had originally read about.
- FaceTime, supports up to 32 people in one chat session.
- Easier closing of apps on iPhone X

Closing
For a few hours now we've been testing the new iOS 12. As a first image (and as a first developer beta version) the OS is pretty smooth. It is understandable that there are some problems, which will be solved with the next test versions. We should note that finally the iPhone 5s is properly supported and is the first Apple device to surpass 5 years of upgrades.

The new additions are quite functional, making the user experience much easier. We expect Apple this year to emphasize the smoothness part of iOS, something we didn't see happening much in version 11 last year.
