If you're fed up with new TVs that are getting thinner and thinner there's a solution for you and it's offered by Samsung.
The new TV from the great Korean company offers the depth that is missing from the electronic devices in our living room. The name of this is Serif TV. If it reminds you of a font name then you are absolutely right. The Serif font may well describe the design of the new TV.

Seeing the TV you'll find that it's a bit difficult to hang it on the wall like you would any other new TV. Η Samsung collaborated with two French designers. Their aim was to use sophisticated design to turn the TV into a piece of furniture rather than a remote Device.
Or as they conveyed it in their own words by the Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec:
What we were looking for was a robust presence that could stand up naturally in any environment.

As the two designers also confessed, their inspiration was the letter " i ", in Serif font.

The TV is available in three basic colours, white, red and Blue and in three different sizes:
- Ultra high definition at 40 inches
- Full high definition at 32 inches
- And simple High definition at 24 inches
The two largest TV furniture are accompanied, if desired, by feet, which allow the TV to stand on its own.
The extrusions at the bottom of the TV as well as at the top, which can also be used as as a shelf, do not give us the possibility to fix the TV on the wall.
The Bouroullec Brothers they even paid attention to the back of the TV by covering the slots with a cloth cover. In addition to the TV, they designed a new remote control as well as new interface to match the style of the font Sheriff.
Whether this TV would suit your own space is a matter of personal taste, but in any case it is positive to see the Samsung to manufacture a product which, apart from its functional and aesthetic importance.
Surely the television Serif can cause both positive and negative reactions. In my personal opinion, this television is very satisfactory aesthetically. Some of the comments I heard, however, were free for translation, such as this one:
Like every other fashion, the chemise was unexpected to return.
It is true that television Serif fills the space without having to be lit. While at the same time I think it could work perfectly with the new Apple TV.
Finally, the selling prices of the Serif for the England and they will be:
24 inches - 688 €
32 inches - 964 €
40 inches - 1,654 €
H Serif will be released in United Kingdom, the France, the Sweden and the Denmark at 2 November.
