When we want to open a link in a new window in Safari, we just keep clicking on it until we get the options to open in a new tab, copy, etc. In iOS 11 we have to wait a while until the options appear, since the OS wants to detect if we want to drag and drop or if we just want to open the link.
But how would you like it if we could open all the links in a new window with a simple touch? With this gesture we can instantly touch all the links of a text in Safari and they will open in separate tabs each.
How can we open any link we want in a new tab in Safari?
The process is easy. All we have to do is find a link and tap on it with two fingers. If we tap with one finger, the link will open in the same tab, so if we want to find the page we were on, we have to go backwards with the arrow in the bottom left.
Is it working?
Yes, it works and it works very well. Of course the same gesture exists on the iPad.
How can we force tabs to stay open in the background?
Suppose we are on Amazon and we want to go to the previous page without leaving the site. If we click the arrow in the bottom left, the page will reload completely. However, if we use the gesture shown above, we can open the links and they won't have to reload when we close and reopen Safari, since they will be in background mode.
To do this, we follow the route Settings > Safari > Safari > Open links > Background.
This was the process by which we can open all Safari links in a new tab.
