macOS Mojave 10.14.2 can be downloaded if the user goes to the "Software Update" section of System Preferences, in a new installation method introduced with the Mojave update.

The 10.14.2 update introduces performance improvements and bug fixes for issues not addressed in macOS Mojave 10.14.1.No significant feature changes were introduced during the beta testing period.

According to the official update, the new update:

  • Adds a menu item to News, for opening a story in Safari.
  • Resolves an issue that can prevent iTunes from playing media on third party AirPlay speakers.
