The need for a new device arose after the senator's cell phone number was leaked by his political rival and eccentric multi-millionaire Donald Trump. Ο Trump had revealed the number at a campaign rally , daring his supporters to call him. When someone tried to call him it was revealed that the number did indeed belong to Graham!

So, the Graham, instead of just changing his number, he thought of changing his device. In his last days July, he wrote on his personal account a tweet asking his followers: "Probably getting a new phone. iPhone or Android?"
The Twitter naturally responded to his call. Some suggested to him iPhone, some people Nexus 6 but some people joked that he should buy a dial phone. In various sites tech set up polls on which would be the best choice of senator.
And because in America, everything, even presidential elections are show, ο Graham turned an epic video, with him trying to destroy his old phone, a phone with a door. You can see it here:
O Graham had admitted to the March that, at 60 years of age, he has never in his life sent email, so we can conclude that he's not particularly familiar with the technology.
