It's the next-generation iPhone with an A9 processor and a 4" inch screen.
Rumours of Apple making a new iPhone with a 4" inch screen started last December (2014).
But the rumors slowly began to die down, and by early 2015, everyone thought the project had been shelved.
After the release of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, rumours of a new iPhone with a 4" inch screen started to appear again, this time with a possible release date in the first half of 2016.
The original rumour claimed that Apple was preparing a new iPhone (6C) to replace the iPhone 5C, which would be released in 2015 alongside the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Some claim that the development of the device was "frozen" in order to promote the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as more "economical" models.
The latest reports claim that the iPhone 6C will be announced at an event next March. During which the second-generation Apple Watch is also expected to be announced.
At first we heard that the iPhone 6C will have a plastic body, but later the rumor spread that the iPhone 6C will look more like the iPhone 5S, will have a metal cover and Touch ID.
The device will probably be available in two or three colours, like the 5S colours. But there is also a rumor from a vendor that the iPhone 6C will have a colored metal design.
Controversy exists over the processor the iPhone 6C will have. Some sources claim that the A9 processor and 2GB of RAM will be used, while others claim that the A8 processor will be used to differentiate it from the flagships.
The iPhone 6C will not be inexpensive. Sure it will be cheaper than the iPhone 6s but we shouldn't expect Apple to price its new device at "Android prices".
Still, we will hardly see a screen 3D touch at iPhone 6C. It is more likely to have features such as NFC (for Apple Pay), Bluetooth 4.1, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, 8 MP rear camera, 1.2 MP front camera and improved battery 1,642 mAh.
We're not going to see AMOLED screen on iPhone
