It seems that many users of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are experiencing problems with screen responsiveness, which can be frustrating, especially when it comes to high-priced devices. However, the good news is that it's most likely a software issue, which can be fixed with a firmware update from Apple.

One of the main causes could be the touch rejection algorithm, which prevents unintentional touches on the edges of the screen. If this algorithm is too sensitive, it may also reject correct touches by the user.

The iPhone 16 Pro has thinner bezels than the iPhone 15 Pro, which may make it more likely that you'll accidentally touch the edges of the screen. The device's sensitivity to these touches may lead to a delayed response.

Apple will probably release a software update soon that will fix the problem. This is the best solution as users will not have to send their devices for repair.

As with previous iPhone problems, using a case can reduce unintentional touches on the edges of the screen, allowing the device to respond properly.

Similar situations happened with the iPhone 15 last year, and previously we had AntennaGate in 2010 with the iPhone 4, where Apple offered free cases as a solution for signal loss.

It is quite likely that Apple will give a similar solution soon with the release of a new iOS update, solving the touch problem without having to repair or replace the device.
