If the rumors are true, the upcoming upgrades to the iPhone 16, and especially the Pro models, will be impressive, especially for photography enthusiasts. The inclusion of a telephoto lens that offers 5x optical zoom and up to 25x digital zoom on the iPhone 16 Pro is a major development.

Until now, this feature was only available on the larger Pro Max model, but with this change, users of the smaller and more affordable iPhone 16 Pro will enjoy the same top-notch photography experience without having to choose the larger and more expensive model.

This is achieved thanks to Apple's partnership with LG Innotek, which will supply the telephoto lenses, while Apple also plans to work with Foxconn and Cowell to keep costs low and production efficient.

To integrate the telephoto lens into the smaller iPhone 16 Pro, Apple will slightly increase the dimensions of the phone and shrink some internal components, but without sacrificing the compact feel of the device.

In addition, the main camera on the new Pro models will receive a major upgrade with Sony's new 2-layer sensor, which will improve light capture quality, reduce noise and offer impressive dynamic range. Also, the ultra-wide camera will be upgraded to 48MP resolution, offering even clearer and more detailed photos.

With the announcement of the new iPhone 16 / Pro series on September 10, Apple shows that it is seeking to offer the best possible photography experience to all its users, regardless of whether they prefer the Pro or the more affordable models.
