Apple released iPadOS 18 with the intention of offering new features, but several users of iPad Pro with M4 processor reported serious problems after installing the update.

Many devices stopped working (became "bricked"), making it impossible even to reset them via computer. These problems led Apple to withdraw both the OTA update and the IPSW restore files to prevent further damage.

According to reports, the problems were so severe that some users were forced to send their devices to Apple for repair or replacement.

For now, it is recommended that you do not proceed with the update, especially if you have an iPad Pro with an M4 processor, until a patch is released.
