It is known that we will see new iPads on the market later this year. Rumours suggest that a new version will not carry a Home Button, but will incorporate Face ID and thinner bezels, following the design introduced by Apple with the iPhone X.
The above rumors are confirmed by a new finding in the fifth developer beta of iOS 12, as it seems that the new iPad will be bezel-less. This was found within the battery usage UI and shows an iPad without a Home Button and with thinner bezels.

It won't be the first time such a finding in the OS reveals a product that hasn't been released yet. Let's not forget that last year's rumors of an iPhone with very thin bezels were confirmed by a leak of the HomePod software.
What's missing from the embossing found in iOS 12 is the notch. So it seems to confirm all those who reported that the 2018 iPad Pro will not carry a notch, unlike this year's iPhones, for which all rumors predict theThe famous notch. Below you can clearly see the difference between the embossing of the current iPad and the one to be released. It is clear that the new iPad does not appear to have a Home Button, with the thinner bezels being prominent.
The term "iPad" is normally specified and is new in the fifth trial version of iOS 12. There are no references to the system yet, which means it's a future product, which will most likely be the 2018 iPad Pro, likely to be released somewhere towards the fall.
We should point out that other evidence in the OS states that Apple is preparing to support Face ID in a horizontal position as well, which contradicts rumors that it will only work in vertical (portrait) position on the iPad.

iPad Pro with iPhone X
Yesterday's find for the new iPads confirms the rumors about Apple's intention to direct all of its products in the path blazed by the iPhone X. Beyond that though, some questions arise. The first has to do with the notch. As we know, the notch houses the front camera as well as Face ID. Since the iPad Pro will carry Face ID and by extension TrueDepth camera, it is a wonder where Apple will manage to fit these parts of the device.

It is possible that the margins may not be so thin after all and allow for the integration of the earpiece and camera on the top of the device. All of this is of course speculation and can not be based anywhere, but only on common sense and our experience with the iPhone X. What is Apple finally preparing?
