Our tribute to Greek creators continues. We put our questions to the creator of the "FISH - FIND" application

We continue our effort to promote Greek creators and today we will have a conversation with Mr. Panagiotis Vassis, creator of the game, FISH - FIND.

Panagiotis, thank you for agreeing to talk to us about your work. Do you write the apps yourself or do you belong to a team of developers?

I don't belong to a team, I'm working on my own at the moment. Of course, I would like to work with a team in the future because it's really hard to do everything on your own. An application consists of code, graphics, the ad project, debugging etc.

Search Find is your first project? If not, tell us a little about your other projects.

No, I have some other apps, mostly quizzes with questions about Greek and foreign series, in Greek and English, and standalone, but also as an app containing all the series for those who want basic questions in one app (iSeires).

Tell us a little bit about Search Find and especially, what made you want to take up a word game?

I've always liked puzzles, games with riddles, words, etc. So I searched around and couldn't find a similar app, so I thought I'd take the plunge! I wanted a game not so easy, but that at the same time would be addictive and "stick" you to want more because you think you will achieve more next time.

A game that will sharpen the mind, as we say. Given the opportunity, I would like to inform you that new updates are "coming" with many new categories, with different times for beginners and advanced players, but also with the addition of new words in different categories (animals, plants, verbs, adjectives, etc.). I don't make a game and leave it to chance! I always try to evolve it and then, looking at the previous versions, I feel good that I succeeded, that I improved it! As well as I pay a lot of attention to the comments made by those who download my apps and what is feasible and smart, is implemented.

How did you decide to get into app development?

Ever since I was a kid, I've always loved the video games in those huge boxes of twenties... And I've always loved computers. Plus smartphones started to take over 90% the place of personal computers, so there had to be a "transition" there. So I started learning code on my own, which of course I continue to do. When I have free time, I search the internet, read books, attend seminars, with the purpose of personal improvement and by extension, improvement of my work. I like to have an idea and try to implement it through code, graphics, etc. This makes me happy.

"Do you make a professional living at it?

No, I work as a computer technician and driver and developing apps/games is my hobby and my way of having fun in my free time.

Thinking of creating an Apple TV (tvOS) version of your app?

Not for now. And at least not this particular game. It's a Greek game and so far Apple TV hasn't penetrated the Greek market that much.

SS: We thank Panagiotis very much and wish him every success in his plans. We provide you with the links of the game for the App Store and the Play Store and we ask you to support this Greek effort.
