Estimated sales of the Apple Watch for the 2015 holiday quarter exceed five million units.
Despite the gloomy forecasts by experts and according to Strategy Analytics, sales of Apple Watch seem to be going very well.
Characteristically, for the first time, sales of smart watches exceeded those of the traditional Swiss market.
For the fourth quarter of 2015, it is estimated that the following were sold 8,1 millions of smartwatches. Of these, the 5,1 millions are for Apple Watch. On the other side, for the same period of time, it is estimated that 7,9 millions of traditional watches.
Experts insist that the smart watch industry does not have a bright future. The truth is that their arguments are strong. For example, the purchase of a good watch is made with a perspective of several years. A smart watch, after a few years, may have become almost a "smart watch". useless, due to technological developments.
But consumers disagree. And they are the ones who define the game.
