There may soon be a way to control the iPhone without having to touch it.

Η Apple has already registered a patent, which relates to a technology that will allow users to interact with the iPhone without touching the touchscreen, but using gestures.

The patent filed in March 2015 was approved just a few days ago. According to the text accompanying it, the device will use infrared LED to identify the finger or palm. The system will be able to sense how close the user's hand is, combining the new technology with the existing 3D touch.
