Download the book for free from the iBooks Store: "The Sea You Never Knew"
The ired team is always trying to improve and suggest new, different things to you. The weather is slowly opening up and we thought it would be a good idea to fill our iPads and iPhones with some free books in Greek from the iBooks Store. If we don't read them now while obligations are "running", they might come in handy on a beach this summer.
We will not try to play "book reviewers" because semi-literacy is worse than ignorance but also because we believe that some things are indeed subjective, at least to some extent.
So today we will recommend you the book by Alexandros Emeksezidis entitled "The sea you have not known". A book that we believe will be loved by the residents and "friends" of Thessaloniki.
From the description of the book we read:
"Behind the railings of the closed beach of Thessaloniki, a man talks to the waves. In the streets of the night city, another man tries to escape from loneliness by running away from himself. Through an unexpected phone call, the paths of two people, so alike yet so different, cross to share with each other the seas they have never known.
A short story about the Thessaloniki, love and dreams that must stay alive"
The "writing" of Alexandros Emeksezidis would say that it is quite "Travel" and you won't get tired of it. The book is not "long" and depending on your reading pace you will need about 1-2 hours to read the whole book.
Personally, it left me with mixed feelings but in no way did I find it indifferent. After all, this is the great power of the book, the "activation" of our emotions.
We would like your opinion on both the book and our new effort. Would you be interested in keeping up to date on the ired blog about free literary books available on the iBooks Store? We look forward to your opinion in the comments.
