Introduction
To be honest, the OnePlus 6, is one of the best Android and non-Android devices out there. Okay, pretty much the iPhone X we all know. Some are the ones who think that the OnePlus 6 is the new "iPhone X killer" from the day the device was released.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 6 has a starting price of €519 for the 6GB RAM version, while if one opts for the 8GB version, one will have to pay the price of €569. The iPhone X starts at €1,199 in our country in official stores, while in the independent market, one can now find it even cheaper.

But who is the winner between the two devices?
Hardware
In Apple Insider's test video, the 8GB RAM version has been selected for the OnePlus 6, with the iPhone X at 3GB. The OnePlus 6 carries Qualcomm's 8-core Snaprdragon 845 processor. Four of the cores give weight to performance and four to performance with numbers reaching 2.8Ghz. The same processor has been "worn" in Samsung's S9. On the iPhone X side, it carries the six-core A11 Bionic. The four cores here too take care of the performance of the device and the other two the high performance clocked at 2.39Ghz.
In terms of graphics, the iPhone X carries an Apple-designed tri-core GPU, while the One Plus 6 uses the familiar Adreno 630 that's 30% faster than the previous 540.
One of the most basic features in which the devices differ greatly is RAM. As we said above, the OnePlus 6 has 8GB of RAM while the iPhone X only has 3GB. That's not even half that of its rival.
We should note here that iOS as an operating system is very efficient compared to Android which needs a lot more RAM to work.
Benchmarks
As we can see in the video, the first test is done with Geekbench 4. The iPhone X is the absolute winner in single-core. The OnePlus 6 somewhat "picks up" the difference in multi-core by coming closer to the iPhone X than any other Android device, but it's still about 15% slower. The next test is on graphics, where the OnePlus 6 is remarkably close to the iPhone X.
Next up was Antutu in which the OnePlus 6 beat the iPhone X by almost 30%. AnTuTu HTML 5 showed the iPhone X as the winner, without a particularly large margin.
In GFXBench OpenGL Manhattan Offscreen OpenGL Manhattan Offscreen at 1080p to avoid resolution differences, the iPhone X got the upper hand.
Also, in Octane 2.0, another browser benchmark, the iPhone X was again the winner due to the amazing performance of Safari.
Impressions
Although the winner is the iPhone X, we can't overlook the fact that the OnePlus 6 wasn't beaten by a particularly large margin, especially considering its price compared to the iPhone X. In everyday use, users so far report a device that works very smoothly and without any problems. In many cases it is even faster than the iPhone X, for example in opening certain applications.

With increasingly powerful processors and ample RAM, the latest Android devices are not what we used to know in the past. The benchmarks show the performance of the devices at 100% of their capabilities, which as one can understand, the average user will never touch in everyday use.
