The Cameo app, currently available for free on the App Store provides users with the ability to create professional-quality short videos. For longer videos there is always the

When it comes to editing, Cameo is too simple. All you need is drag-and-drop to rearrange and set the order of the scenes or press to delete them! Cameo does all the editing work leaving you with only the pleasure of "pointing" the camera at whatever you want.

When you want to edit a particular clip, just click on the timer you see in the top right and the app brings up the various editing options for you to choose from. You can trim the video, add a caption or even turn off the audio completely.

One of its advantages is that it's free because it's a Vimeo creation, and it has a separate website (which of course belongs to Vimeo). It makes sense that videos through this app can't be uploaded directly to YouTube, so that leaves the options of Facebook, Twitter, Vine, Email, Tumblr and of course Vimeo.

To sum up Cameo is easy to use and fun! It helps to make some very nice 6 second videos, time sufficient for the most clueless or those who like to communicate with short videos. Besides, the micro-video trend is well underway!
