A special version of the famous game is coming exclusively to iOS.

Video Announcement:

The Assassin's Creed game series is one of the most well-known to gamers of all tastes, and has appeared on almost every platform from PCs and gaming consoles to mobile and tablets. In these last ones, of course, we didn't see the original heavy games that - due to hardware requirements - could only run on powerful computers and consoles (Playstation and XBOX), but the well-known "spin-offs" - such as Assassin's Creed: Pirates - which are lower-demanding little games very different from their original brothers.

However, this month the well-known franchise enters a new phase of development where it enters a new territory, or rather acquires a new identity: that of a action-RPG. And it will be presented exclusively on iOS this time, as it is created exclusively with the hardware of Apple's mobile operating system devices in mind.

The game for iOS Well, Assassin's Creed Identity, in fact it's not really anything entirely new in terms of presentation, given that it had a "silent" launch in Australia and New Zealand about a year and a half ago and was scheduled to have a wider launch last year which didn't happen. The weird thing is that the video trailer that accompanies the Ubisoft game is still labeled "Announcement Trailer" ("Announce Trailer") that accompanies the new games. In fact, it has all the elements of a mobile platform game trailer, as it shows a young player walking through a tunnel wearing an Assassin's Creed-style hoodie as he plays the game on his phone.

"In order to complete their mission, players will have to move to different cities in the Italian Renaissance - and some of the most famous attractions - with a plethora of control options including, touch-to-move, dual virtual sticks or even gamepad," says the spokesperson Ubisoft Giancarlo Varanini.

A video demo that had first appeared in September 2014, shows the game "in action" with the aforementioned virtual controls that serve to move and control the camera's angle of view. The combat system has been modified to respond to the controls offered by a mobile phone or tablet, and proves to be extremely "insightful" to understand what we want to do at any given moment. Simply tapping the skull icon - at least in this early version - assassinates our target and we have the alternative between simply touching or tapping and holding our finger on the screen in order to engage in open combat.

This is the second of her recent games Ubisoft that overtakes traditional consoles and PC, for the sake of mobile devices. The The Rayman Adventures, seemingly a sequel to the console game Rayman Legends, was the first to be presented on mobile phones and in Apple TV 4 a while back. While Assassin's Creed Identity looks to be a good fit for the Apple TV as well, the announcement doesn't indicate that (for now) the game will be shown for it as well.

Assassin's Creed Identity will launch on iOS on February 25. Its minimum requirements call for at least iPhone 5, iPad 3 and iOS 7 to "run".
