Apple designed this more rugged Ultra version to be more durable for even the most extreme activities. It features a new larger digital crown, which is easier to use while wearing gloves or diving.
It also has a new orange action button that can be customized to initiate any desired function when pressed.
In addition to its larger size, the screen has some additional features not found on other Apple Watches. It's twice as bright as other watches and has a special faceplate ideal for night mode that changes the Watch Face to red for better viewing in the dark.
Apple Watch Ultra is equipped with three built-in microphones for improved audio quality in voice calls under all conditions. To achieve the high call quality, a custom algorithm uses the microphones to capture the voice and then reduces ambient sounds to provide clear and intelligible audio.
