Apple's advertising campaign for the Apple Watch Series 2 and its various uses, just before Christmas!
Just in time for the holidays, Apple this Friday launched four short commercials showcasing the perks of the Apple Watch 2 Series, with features like Apple Pay integration and new features like GPS tracking.
Each of the four 10-15 second commercials are shot in first person perspective and start with the opening of gifts containing the new Apple Watch Series 2, while "The Gift of Go" appears at the bottom of the screen.
Apple Watch Series 2 - Go Out
In the ad, titled "Go Out," Filastine's track "Informal Sector Parade" (Thornato Remix) is played and immediately shows off his waterproofing and messaging abilities while the protagonist tries - and fails - to flag down a taxi.
As it turns out, she's on her way to a romantic rendezvous. We follow the man as he runs agitatedly through the city, stopping only to buy a bouquet of flowers via Apple Pay. The commercial closes in a "silent" elevator, where the Apple Watch reminds the protagonist to breathe - via the "Breath" app - before he's in the hallway to meet his girlfriend.
Apple Watch Series 2 - Go Play
In the second ad, titled "Go Play", the Magnus the Magnus track "Realligator" is played and we see a woman opening an Apple Watch before she leaves to play football. During the game she slips and falls to the ground, where it seems to be the perfect time to check the "Activity" app (as she lacks stamina).
Confident that she has reached her daily exercise and movement goals, the woman stands up, "charges" the goals on her watch and lets out a primal scream to emphasize her success.
Apple Watch Series 2 - Go Dance
The 3rd and shortest ad, titled "Go Dance", lasts for only 10 seconds, which is enough to show a girl who opens her new device, presses play and while the Junglebae's track "Backwardz" is playing, we see her dancing at a dance school with her friends.
Apple Watch Series 2 - Go Run
The latest ad focuses on the Apple Watch Nike+, a special edition recommended for athletes, featuring a unique sports strap and the Nike+Run Club app. This particular app also kicks off the commercial, asking "Are we running today?" And of course the answer is "yes".
The commercial lasts for 15 seconds, is called "Go Run" and features the song "Tennies" by Tkay Maidza. We begin by following the protagonist as he wears his new watch, runs through the city, through alleys, an airport and ends up in the woods. He's done over 5km by the end and the route he followed has been saved via GPS on the Nike+Run Club app.
Apple's latest series of ads comes to give a boost to the device's sales, in the lucrative festive days.
