We charged the iPhone in four different ways to come up with the fastest. The answer may surprise you.
The more iPhone is upgraded, the more time we spend playing with it. It is no longer just a mobile phone but a gadget with a plethora of functions and features.
Of course, this has its downside. E.g. we need to charge it, from one to several times a day, keep an eye on it so that we always take the charger or a powerbank with us and limit the use when the battery is approaching red. Even the battery of the brand new iPhone 7 may not make it through a full day without charging. These are first world problems and we need to find ways to deal with them.
There are several ways to charge an iPhone. You can plug the charger into the mains or computer, or charge the device via a portable power bank. The type of charger you use also plays a role. And the most important thing? Each way offers a different charging time. Can you guess which is the fastest? Read on and see if your predictions were correct.
Charging to a socket
The traditional method of charging is to plug your iOS device into a wall outlet via the charger. This is one of the fastest ways to charge the battery. A full charge will take less than two hours if the iPhone's battery percentage is below 20% when you first plug the device into the outlet.
It's true: an iPhone battery charges in two stages. Fast charging from 0-80% and stream charging from 81-100%. The first stage allows the energy to accumulate in the shortest time while the second gives more electricity to increase the battery life.
Charging to a computer USB port
If you need to charge your iPhone but there's no free outlet nearby, you can always use the USB port on a computer (laptop or desktop).
This method does not deliver electricity with the same efficiency as the charging method mentioned above. It makes sense: a computer is "busy" powering its internal components and cannot focus only on charging the mobile phone. But it can do that too. So it needs its time.
It's true: newer computers with high-powered USB ports may have better results.
Portable charger
A third option to keep the iPhone "alive" is to use a power bank. There is a wide variety on the market and some of the best options can charge the device from 0 to 100% eight times.
Of course, because it's USB charging, it's a slower method than the traditional plug-in method. However, in this case, speed can take a back seat since you have the ability to charge on the go.

iPad charger
This is a trick that only users of multiple Apple devices can use. If you have an iPad, you can borrow its charger to charge your iPhone as well. Combine this method with plug-in charging and you've got the fastest way to charge your iPhone. The iPad batteries are larger and therefore the charger that comes in the package is more powerful to meet the needs.
Extra trick: If you want to charge your iPhone in record time, use the iPad charger and set your smartphone to Flight Mode. The battery charges faster when the antennas are offline because power consumption is kept to a minimum. Combine this tip with the previous charging methods we've shown you.
The fastest way to charge an iPhone
We have decided! According to our tests, the fastest way to charge an iPhone is via the iPad charger. Reasonably, you will wonder if there is a risk of damage to the smartphone.
In most cases there is no problem, because it is the phone that controls the charging process, not the charger. This means that it is the iPhone that "pulls" the current from the cable and not the charger that "pushes" the current to the iPhone.
The issue of overheating is very rare, since most chargers do not provide more than 5 Volts, which is considered a safe number.
Important: charge only with genuine cables or Apple-approved chargers.
