Siri among its many capabilities is to suggest news, photos, etc. depending on our search history and the information it gets from various other applications. Siri, synchronizes information between our devices in order to have instant access to it.<\/p>\n

But, if we're horrified at the idea that we're not the only ones seeing all this, we have the option to turn off Siri's suggestions completely and at the same time we can allow certain apps to appear as \"recommended\" in her search in iOS 11.<\/p>\n

One important detail has to do with the fact that all information is well encrypted. However, it is possible to customize Siri's capabilities.<\/p>\n

Let's take a closer look at how to \"disappear\" Siri's suggestions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turn off Siri suggestions for specific apps on iPhone and iPad<\/em><\/h3>\n

As we said above, we can set which apps appear in Siri's search.<\/p>\n

First we open \"Settings\" and go to the \"Siri and Search\" section.<\/p>\n

Scroll down and find the app you do NOT want to appear in Siri's results and select it. Then we flip the switch to \"Siri Search and Suggestions\". Now, this particular app has an extra privacy.<\/p>\n

\"3<\/p>\n

In summary, the procedure is as follows: Settings > Siri and Search > Select the app > Siri Search and Suggestions and turn off the switch.<\/p>\n

Completely disable Siri suggestions on iPhone and iPad<\/em><\/h3>\n

Don't want to use Siri suggestions anymore? You can turn it off completely if you wish.<\/p>\n

Go to \"Settings\" and then select \"Siri and Search\" again. Below we make sure to turn off the switches on \"Suggestions in Search\" and \"Suggestions in Find\". Now by going to Siri's search, there will be no apps as suggested apps.<\/p>\n

\"4<\/p>\n

So in summary, we follow Settings > Siri and Search > Suggestions in Search - Suggestions in Find and turn off the switches.<\/p>\n

However, Siri will still show the installed apps on your devices if you manually search for them. It just won't have the right to add them to the displayed recommended apps.<\/p>\n

How to prevent Siri from sending your location to Apple<\/em><\/h3>\n

Siri sends our location to Apple in order to improve search results. But if you don't like this feature, turn it off.<\/p>\n

We open the \"Settings\" of our device. We select \"Privacy\" and then \"Location Services\".<\/p>\n

On the way down, you will find \"System Services\". Inside the next tab we will find the option \"Suggestions based on location\". and turn off the switch.<\/p>\n

In summary, the steps are as follows: Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Location Services > System Services > Location Based Suggestions. Services.<\/p>\n
