Our disorganization, fear of the new, deification or rejection of issues we don't understand, and even the attempt to maintain a \"loose\" situation in the country that certainly serves some people, are the main reasons for not adopting them. Hopefully the recently leaked timetable will be adhered to and in 1-2 years we will have completed (albeit late) this step as well.<\/p>\n

In other countries, of course, they are also dealing with more advanced issues in order to reduce the inconvenience for citizens, but also to ensure maximum security in the cross-checking of data.<\/p>\n
In England, the Chairman of the Driver Licensing Agency (DVLA) shared a photo of a driving licence, which is displayed through the Wallet app, on an iPhone. As he mentioned, this is a \"work in progress\". The ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for drivers to carry their physical driver's license, as it can be displayed digitally.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the exact timetable was not made public and it was reported that in the first phase the \"digital diploma\" will not replace the \"traditional\" one. However, this is to be done immediately after the tests are carried out.<\/p>\n
The iOS Wallet app is widely used for storing and displaying tickets and various \"loyalty card\" promos and is the first time we've seen it used for storing public documents, even in a pilot stage.<\/p>\n
The \"future\" is here, the leaps of technology are enormous and anyone who refuses to integrate it into the everyday life of citizens, either by stalling or by blocking it in any way, is simply trying in vain to avoid what will happen anyway - sooner or later -: the adoption of new technologies in the service of citizens in a state without \"physical\" documents and bureaucratic procedures.
