There are also the maps of <strong>Google<\/strong> and the <strong>Apple<\/strong>. However, in the first case you will need a lot of money to get them and in the second you will have to rely on the availability of the mobile network and the data volume of your plan in order to use them.<\/p>\n<p>The application <strong>navmii <\/strong><span style=\"color: #191919; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px;\">(formerly&nbsp;<\/span>Navfree) comes to fill this gap. <strong>Off line<\/strong> maps of <strong>Greece<\/strong> and <strong>vocal guidance<\/strong>, <strong>free of charge<\/strong>. Without needing <strong>3G<\/strong> \u03ae <strong>4G<\/strong> coverage and without paying a single cent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-547116\" src=\"http:\/\/ired.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ired-navgree-01-4e7.jpg\" alt=\"ired-navgree-01\" width=\"610\" height=\"343\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>The Application<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the main menu of the application we have several options, let's look at some of them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Navigation<\/strong> (add an address manually or select from points of interest with support for Foursquare, Google Search, favorites, recent, etc.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Original<\/strong> (direct instructions to \"<strong>the house<\/strong>\")<\/li>\n<li><strong>Google search<\/strong> (search for points of interest through the database of the <strong>Google<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>My route<\/strong> (additional options for the routes you select from navigation: route clearance, route overview, directions, etc.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Send location<\/strong> (publish your location in the <strong>social media<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Updates<\/strong> (includes in-app purchases such as removal of ads 1,79\u20ac, access to security cameras 1,79\u20ac \/ month, finding empty parking spaces 3,59\u20ac \/ month etc.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Back to the map<\/strong> (viewing of <strong>current location<\/strong> on the map)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><strong>iThink<\/strong> (prompting users to rate the app on the App Store, which <strong>could be missing from the main screen<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Route clearance<\/strong> (delete selected route)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-547117\" src=\"http:\/\/ired.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ired-navgree-02-09d.jpg\" alt=\"ired-navgree-02\" width=\"610\" height=\"343\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Usage - our experience<\/h3>\n<p>We have tested the application and here are our findings:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The satellites \"lock\" quickly<\/strong>, especially for free application but also with <strong>excellent accuracy<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>proposed<\/strong> routes are usually the <strong>optimal<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>There are some <strong>bugs<\/strong>, such as the overlapping of some options by advertisements, which happened twice in the course of about 1.5 hours of our tests<\/li>\n<li><strong>There is no plethora of options<\/strong> configuration of the application<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excellent vocal guidance<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Several <strong>anagrams<\/strong> in various <strong>Words<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-547118\" src=\"http:\/\/ired.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ired-navgree-03-34b.jpg\" alt=\"ired-navgree-03\" width=\"610\" height=\"343\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>Conclusion - Epilogue<\/h3>\n<p>The application <strong>Appnav<\/strong> is a <strong>very good solution<\/strong> for those who need a navigator on their iPhone or iPad with off line maps and voice guidance, <strong>free of charge<\/strong>. It also has some <strong>small problems,<\/strong> that will not bother you during its use.
